Ordering Terms

Placing an order at the web shop of Vuorjoki Design does not require registration and only the required data to implement your order is collected.

Use of the Web Shop

When using the web service or web shop you agree to

  • Use the web service and web shop in accordance with these Terms & Conditions;
  • Approve the Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy of Vuorjoki Design;
  • Observe express diligence and caution when using the web shop;
  • Provide truthful information about you as well to change this information when necessary;
  • Obtain the consent of your guardian for your purchase in the event you are under 18 years old;

Validity of Order

Products are ordered by placing them in the shopping cart. Follow the instructions provided by the web shop in order to complete your order. The order confirmation page shows the aggregate payable amount inclusive all taxes and delivery costs.

A binding Contract of Sales becomes valid when Vuorjoki Design has sent you an order confirmation by email. Thereafter Vuorjoki Design does not have the right to change the terms applicable to your order.

A consumer has the right to, partly or fully, cancel the order prior to its delivery by email or letter. Delivery has taken place when the consumer has received the ordered products or a notification confirming that the ordered products can be collected from the post office or other desired recipient facility.

Vuorjoki Design and the customer keep contact either by using email or letter. We are happy to help our customers on weekdays in all inquiries as well as in all matters relating to orders. Our Customer Service email is customerservice(a)vuorjokidesign.com.

Prices

All prices in our web shop are inclusive value added tax (VAT 24%). The prices in our web shop are shown in euros (EUR). Offer prices have been marked clearly and separately per product.

The postage and package fee to EU countries varies usually from EUR 8,90 to EUR 14,90 according to country. However, if only Priority Mail is available for delivery in certain countries, the fee is a bit higher. The final postal fee is calculated after the Customer has provided address information. When ordering products outside the EU, we kindly ask you to contact our Customer Service. Customers ordering products to be delivered outside the EU are, in addition to the separately calculated postage fees, responsible for any customs or other government fees applicable to their order.

We reserve the right to cancel an order on the basis of clear errors in pricing. In the event that a product does not have pricing information, the price has been set to EUR 0,00 or the price clearly deviates from its correct price (e.g. EUR 89,00 price has been set to EUR 8,90), the customer should have understood that the pricing information contains an error.

Terms of Delivery 

Vuorjoki Design ships to EU countries as well as per separate agreement to countries outside the EU. Please contact our Customer Service for more information.

The delivery time is 2–5 working days to Finland and 5–9 working days outside Finland after Vuorjoki Design has received your order. Delivery times for international orders depend on the country where the products are ordered from. Please note that for instance holiday seasons will cause delays.

We will inform on the product page, if the product is sold out, there only is a limited lot of the product available, or if for reasons beyond our control, the delivery will be prolonged. We are not able to respond to continuous interim inquiries on the delivery time. 

All parcels are delivered to the address you have given during confirming of your order.  To avoid inconveniences please specify your address as precisely as possible. Once we have received your order, we’ll send you an e-mail order confirmation. Don’t lose the order confirmation, in case you need to contact our Customer Service.

Vuorjoki Design is not responsible for any damages or delays which are due to force majeure or similar reasons beyond its control which it could not have reasonably predicted or the consequences of which could not be avoided. Force majeure and similar reasons consists of, but is not limited to the following: import and exports bans, industrial actions, sick leave of personnel, authority decisions, equipment or personnel related problems of cooperation printers, delays in material deliveries, disruptions in transportation, war, natural disasters, or any other similar reason. In the event the force majeure or similar reason continues for more than three months, both the consumer and Vuorjoki Design have the right to cancel the order/agreement without any damage or other consequences.

Due to monitor differences, actual colors of the products may vary slightly from what appears online. In purchasing from Vuorjoki Design, you agree to accept the small risk that there will be a slight variation between the actual poster color and the representation on our website.

Payment

Payment Service Provider

Paytrail Plc acts as a collecting payment service provider and is an authorized Payment Institution. Paytrail Plc will be shown as the recipient on your bank or credit card statement. Paytrail Plc will forward the payment to the merchant. For reclamations, please contact the website the payment was made to.

Return policy

You have the right to return / exchange the ordered products within 14 days after you received your order.  In such case,  please contact our Customer Service within that 14-day period. The products must be returned undamaged and unused in the original packaging.  Shipping charges for all returns must be prepaid by you. Returns are accepted for a full refund less the shipping costs.

Returns/exchanges outside of EU will not be accepted due to customs clearance expenses.

No returns and no refunds on Gift Cards.

Unclaimed delivery

If your package is not picked up at your delivery point before its scheduled return to sender, Vuorjoki Design reserves the right to charge the costs for returned packages. The cost is different depending on the country the product is originally ordered from.

Incorrect delivery / damaged items

It is the obligation of the customer to carefully inspect the contents of the delivered package for the condition and amount of the products.

Please contact our Customer Service

  • in the event that a wrong product or a wrong amount of products have been delivered to you
  • in the rare case that your art print arrives damaged. We will ask for photos of the damage including the packaging so we can document the claim and process a replacement for you at no charge. Damages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.  A product is defective e.g. when it is torn or otherwise damaged.

A defective product should be returned to Vuorjoki Design. Shipping charges for the return must be prepaid by you. After the receipt of the said defective product Vuorjoki Design will refund the shipping cost and a send a new, equal product without cost.

Changes in Terms and Conditions

Vuorjoki Design withholds the right to change its Terms and Conditions including the Return Policy and the Privacy Policy, as well as its prices. It is the obligation of the customer to carefully familiarize oneself with applicable terms and conditions prior to making an order at the web shop.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The web shop of Vuorjoki Design as well as all related transactions and agreements are governed by the laws of Finland, unless mandatory consumer protection laws of some other country must be applied. All disputes will be resolved at the District Court of Helsinki.
